Gimena De Buen
Hi, I’m Gimena (pronounced He-Men-Ah), the founding partner and CEO of Elefante On-Demand Sales + Marketing.
I’m a born and raised Mexican who immigrated to Canada in 2007 after falling in love with the True North, while also completing a Certificate in Strategic Management at the UBC. This program was part of my Honours BComm in Marketing, completed at ITESM-Mexico. Equally proud of my Mexican heritage, I am also grateful to call Calgary, Canada my home.
Throughout my career I have had the amazing opportunity to work in multiple leadership Sales + Marketing roles with a number of global organizations including Marriott Hotels, Konica Minolta and PwC, to name a few. My experience has spanned a variety of industries including professional services, technology, hospitality and manufacturing. These professional chapters have given me an incredibly unique blend of knowledge and experience ranging from customer service, sales leadership, marketing, client experience design to CRM management and client success. I have coached and mentored many executives, as well as trained their sales teams on the art of selling and how to successfully achieve client satisfaction.
I have been recognized with national and international sales leadership awards based on my “out of the box” approach and challenging the status quo. I am a proponent of making data-driven decisions, never miss an opportunity to ask why and always put the client’s needs first.
